American Apparel’s garments are awesome…a long, lean fit, 100% cotton, they wear and wash well (though they'll shrink a lot if you're not nice). Our biggest issue is that their sizing is pretty goofy. When in doubt, order a larger size. Below are some notes about the various styles we offer. Rather than offering the 18-24m size (except in pants and formal wear), we jump from 12-18m to 2T, as 2T fits an almost one year old perfectly and for a long time.

TANK TOPS: Run small. 3-6 m is the most adorable summer newborn gift you can give. 6-12 m is a good middle-age baby size. 2T takes over for older baby through almost 2 year old. 4T for a 2-3+ year old. 6T for 3-4+ year old.

TANK DRESSES: Also run small, but there's a sweet deal here: if you start big, it's an adorable dress that gradually turns into a long tank.

ONE PIECES: We offer sizes 3-6 m and 6-12 m, which are pretty true. We're just now adding in 12-18m as we print new batches.

LONG SLEEVE BABE TEE: We offer sizes 3-6 m and 6-12 m (pretty accurate) and then we jump to tot size 2T, for aforementioned reasons. With new prints we are adding in size 12-18m for those who are doubtful of the 2T.

(BABE) HAT – Soft, simple, breathable hat for babes. Fits newborn to age 1.5+. We realized after our first couple photo shoots that the top is probably meant to be knotted. It’s cute both ways.

SHORT SLEEVE TOT TEE: A unisex style with a boxy fit. 2T fits ages 1-2.5+ (awesome 1st Birthday gift), 4T fits ages 2 to 3.5+, 6T fits ages 3 to 5.5+.

GIRL SLEEVE TOT TEE: We're not sexist, but it definitely a feminine fit. Especially attractive on the toddler belly. Similar age range to the unisex tee, a little smaller.

LONG SLEEVE TOT TEES: A truly unisex style that looks sleek and fabulous on every age. Comes in the greatest of colors. 2T fits ages 1-2.5+ (awesome 1st Birthday gift), 4T fits ages 2 to 3.5+, 6T fits ages 3.5 to 5+.

KARATE PANTS: So freaking stylish and comfy. Pant designs are: BSB Logo, Red Glittery Star, Skull, Heart, Kaboom!, Rocket and Badunkadunk. The babe styles run just a little small, not much. The tot styles are long . If you start them big, you can get a ton of wear out of these.

ZIP HOODIE SWEATSHIRT: Mad quality, thick and cozy. Has the goofiest of sizing and they shrink with washing. 2T fits an older infant+. 4T for age 1-2+, 6T for age 2-3.5+. Size 8T (actually a "Youth 8") fits age 3.5 (baggy) to 5+. Available in BSB Logo (2T only) & Skull (2T, 4T, 6T, 8T). NOW IN PINK!
